About us
ParkLife South West is a social enterprise – a not-for-profit community interest company – set up in 2018 to support environmental volunteering.
In particular, ParkLife aims to give people of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and interests a chance to get involved hands-on in the great outdoors.
There are many great reasons why people are taking action:
How we do it
ParkLife organises and runs programmes of environmental volunteering events for people in Devon and east Cornwall. Based in Ivybridge, the ParkLife team focuses on providing regular activities that can be joined by individuals, community and environmental groups, schools and colleges, business organisations; indeed, anyone who is keen to be involved.
ParkLife provides all the necessary equipment, tools and materials for a project. Basic training is given, and anyone who joins in under our supervision is covered by our public liability insurance. Hot and cold drinks are usually provided, and the team members are trained in First Aid.
For our work with schools, colleges and vulnerable adults, the ParkLife team has up-to-date and enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) checks, and Level 3 Safeguarding training.
